Finding Your Two-Factor (2FA) Back-Up Code

Viewing the backup code

During authenticator app 2FA setup, you can view the backup code:

Note. If you did not write down or copy this backup code during 2FA setup, there is no way for you (or us) to view it later. You will have to set up 2FA again by disabling it and enabling it again.

Using the backup code

This backup code can be manually entered into most authenticator apps to restore your two-factor (2FA) code generation functionality.

Securing the backup code

The authenticator backup code should be treated the same way you treat a password and should not be stored digitally. If not securely stored, the backup code can be compromised and used to gain access to your account.

  • Do not share your backup code with anyone
  • We will never ask for your backup code
